We offer three treatment options that are exceptional for combating age-related skin issues on the face and the body. There is one just right for your skin, no matter your age or specific concerns. Microneedling, Morpheus 8 radiofrequency microneedling and Plasma Fibroblast Therapy all work somewhat differently, but they have some important things in common:

Microneedling
This treatment is also called collagen induction therapy because it is designed to stimulate renewed production of collagen. This means skin will continue to rejuvenate on its own for some after treatment. Microneedling is suitable to address skin concerns anywhere on the body although we typically use it on the face and neck, including harder-to-address areas such as the crease of the nose. Microneedling is most beneficial for younger patients with less advanced signs of aging.
As a bonus benefit, microneedling is especially useful for improving the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks.
Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling
Morpheus 8 combines controlled radiofrequency heat with microneedling so it is a more intense treatment that is able to reach deeper tissue levels. This provides a greater degree of improvement in texture and skin tightening with fewer treatment sessions than microneedling alone.
Older patients who want skin tightening are better candidates for Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling than microneedling without radiofrequency. The radiofrequency energy delivered by the Morpheus8 Body tip can reach 8 mm below the surface to mold (morph) the fat layer immediately below the skin. This produces a smoother surface appearance as the skin firms and thickens after a treatment.
Morpheus8 is another great choice for any body area. Patients may choose to add plasma during their treatment session, to further enhance results and speed recovery.
Plasma Fibroblast Therapy
This exciting new treatment is designed for use in small areas of the face such as the upper or lower eye area, upper and lower lip, frown lines, forehead, crow’s feet, chin and cheeks. It has become our go-to treatment for delicate skin close around the eyes, where we cannot use Morpheus 8, allowing Dr. Hernandez to perform non-surgical blepharoplasty for patients who want to rejuvenate their eyes.
Typically she treats 1 or 2 areas in each session. Radiofrequency energy is delivered to the surface layer of the skin, which stimulates fibroblasts, collagen production and a significant firming effect on the treated skin. Older patients that desire significant firming in specific areas of the face are great candidates for Plasma Fibroblast Therapy.
