What it’s like to get a Halo Laser Treatment

Conveniently located to serve San Antonio, Eagle Pass and the surrounding area.

Considering that 84% of patients reporting on RealSelf say Halo laser treatment is “worth it,” you might want to consider this unique skin resurfacing treatment for yourself. Halo can significantly improve skin tone and texture, and it can provide ongoing results that last for years. What’s it like to get Halo laser treatment?

It’s Exciting!

Halo is different from other types of laser skin rejuvenation treatments, making it so versatile we can use it to correct or improve multiple common imperfections on the face and body, including:

  • Discoloration such as brown or reddish spots
  • Dark pigmentation from melasma
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars
  • Dull, tired-looking skin

Halo’s hybrid fractional laser allows us to treat skin both on and below the surface, at the same time, tailoring the procedure to each patient’s specific skin condition and concerns. And its computer-assisted technology gives Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez even more precise control, to produce even better, more personalized results.

It’s Inclusive

Unlike many laser treatments, Halo is safe and effective for everyone – all genders, all skin tones and skin types. No more disappointment when you read about some treatment option that sounds great – just not for you!

It’s Convenient

Halo laser skin treatment isn’t one of those “lunch hour” options, but treatments are surprisingly fast. In fact, the majority of your appointment time will be spent waiting for the topical numbing cream to do its job. That can take up to an hour (bring a good book or a magazine and that time will fly), then it will take just 30-45 minutes to perform your treatment, depending on size of the area and other details.

There will be a little downtime afterward, but most patients feel comfortable heading back to work or other normal daily activities within two days.

It’s Not Scary – or Even Painful

We understand that one person’s “no sweat” might be another person’s “ouch!” Nonetheless, most of our patients say Halo treatments are very doable – somewhat uncomfortable, maybe, but more tingly than painful. And if you’re of the more tender persuasion, we can perform a couple of less aggressive treatments instead of just one. Halo is all about you.

After the procedure, you may have some swelling (the amount differs per person), redness and a warm, uncomfortable sensation that feels much like a sunburn for several hours. Some patients also develop small tiny spots. These resolve after about 2 days, then your skin may peel for 3-4 days as the old surface cells give way to new, fresh, smoother skin.

It’s Impressive

“Worth it” depends on results, and Halo delivers big time. It might take a couple of weeks to see early results, as your skin recovers from the treatment and begins to heal itself, but as the days and weeks progress you will see steady improvement because Halo treatment stimulates your body to produce collagen that supports healthier skin.
