At Eterna Cosmetic Surgery we offer many different types of treatments and procedures because every patient is different and most treatment options are not suitable for everyone. With multiple options at hand, we can carefully choose what we recommend, so the treatment you receive is personally tailored to your concerns and goals.

One of the reasons we love BBL Hero Light Therapy is because so many patients are good candidates. BBL Hero is a type of intense pulsed light therapy. IPL isn’t new, but BBL Hero is more advanced — designed as a system with various treatment options we can draw upon in different ways to treat specific types of skin problems.

BBL Hero can improve a broader range of skin imperfections, in less time, and it’s safe and effective for a wider range of skin types and tones. That enables many more of our patients to take advantage of this treatment, whereas other options are not suitable for people with medium to darker complexions. Although we most often perform BBL treatment on the face, neck, chest and hands, it can be very effective for almost any part of the body.

So, What Do You Want to Accomplish?

Let’s say you are looking to correct pigmentation problems. You want to diminish the appearance of freckles or dark spots that have developed due to aging or sun damage. Or improve the texture of your skin or restore a more even tone. You are a good candidate for BBL Hero Forever Young. What’s even more exciting about this treatment is that, with regular maintenance sessions, you can actually slow the effects of aging to retain healthier, younger-looking skin.

But what if acne is your concern? BBL Forever Clear comes to your rescue. It kills bacteria to treat and help prevent acne breakouts. Plus, it works to reduce redness, inflammation, and scarring from past acne. This is an excellent alternative to prescription drugs that can have negative side effects. However, you can still use exfoliating acne treatments, as long as you schedule them at least a week apart from BBL treatment.

And then there’s BBL Forever Bare, for those of you who really (really) want to get rid of unwanted hair.

No one loves shaving, tweezing, waxing or smearing depilatory creams over their body, and these “treatments” are the definition of temporary. BBL Hero light therapy targets hair follicles, killing actively growing hairs so they don’t come back. It can take several sessions to achieve the best results because hair grows in cycles and we need to treat them when they are actively growing. Nonetheless, the ultimate result is smooth skin.

The Best BBL Hero Candidates Are Patient

We just noted that BBL Hero for hair removal requires multiple treatments due to the way hair grows. But Forever Young and Forever Clear also require more than one treatment to produce maximum results. Intense pulsed light is gentler than some other types of treatment, and that’s a good thing because it allows us to gradually produce desired results.

So your treatment plan might call for 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart. But you should start seeing results even before you complete your full series of treatments, and within 2-4 weeks following your final session, you will see more noticeable improvement.
