Smoother. Firmer. More uniform. More youthful. Most of us wish for these things (at least some of them) when we look in the mirror and evaluate the current condition of our skin. But they needn’t be mere wishes. The right laser skin treatment can help you achieve any or all these goals, virtually anywhere on your body.

At Eterna Cosmetic Surgery, we offer several laser skin treatments:

  • HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser
  • ProFractional XC
  • Triton Laser (for hair removal)
  • BBL HERO Light Therapy (Forever Young+ BBL, Forever Clear BBL)

Technically, BBL HERO is not a laser skin treatment, it uses intense pulsed light to do its work. However, it can produce similar results so we usually include it when talking about non-surgical skin rejuvenation options.

What Skin Conditions Do You Want to Improve?

Laser treatments can be tailored to produce a wide range of results from “just enough” to “wow!” HALO, ProFractional and BBL HERO are all quite versatile, giving Dr. Hernandez a broad range of options to address your skin improvement concerns, whether you have just one or (like most of us) several.

  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Melasma
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Age spots and sunspots
  • Enlarged pores
  • Scarring
  • Rosacea, blushing or flushing
  • Vascular or cutaneous lesions
  • Skin laxity
  • Unwanted hair

While these laser skin treatments are very versatile, each of them is uniquely different and therefore best for certain types of skin problems. For example, BBL HERO is designed so that Dr. Hernandez can separately or simultaneously perform skin rejuvenation treatment, treatment that addresses active acne and past scarring, or hair removal.

Yes, hair removal is sometimes the key to smoother skin. Many women ask us about removing vellus hair (tiny, fine facial hairs), and a lot of guys would love to say goodbye to post-shaving stubble and bumpy skin. That’s why we offer two different treatment options to reduce or remove unwanted hair.

Time commitment

Laser skin treatments are generally less aggressive than other options, making treatments more comfortable, safer and faster with little to no downtime. However, gentler treatments do not produce “wow” results right at first. HALO skin resurfacing is a good example. So Dr. Hernandez may need to perform more than one treatment to reach your final goal. That’s actually a good thing, because it gives her (and you) more precise control over your final results.

Filter Options to Find the Most Suitable

The laser skin treatment options we offer are suitable for a wide range of skin types and tones, but not necessarily everyone. And there may be other factors that determine which is best. For example, because BBL HERO uses intense light, it may not be a good choice if you have taken Accutane within the past six months or you are taking a medication that causes light sensitivity.

Ask a Pro!

While it’s smart to do as much research as you can, the best way to know which laser skin treatment is best is to consult a professional. Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez, for instance. As an experienced cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Hernandez’s knowledge and skill are more than skin deep. That matters because it is often subtle nuances that point to the right laser skin treatment versus one that will be just OK.

When you meet with Dr. Hernandez, she will examine your skin and learn about all your concerns and goals. That matters, because as we’ve noted earlier, there are often opportunities to combine treatments or use a single treatment to help resolve multiple issues. Whichever treatment you do choose, you can be confident you’re getting the best when it comes to skill and personalized treatment.
