How Does VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction Work?
With traditional liposuction, the surgeon inserts a cannula and physically manipulates it to separate fat so it can be removed. VASERlipo technology uses ultrasound energy to more gently separate and remove fat cells. The procedure is performed in-office under local anesthetic. Dr. Hernandez first makes a very small incision, then introduces a medicated solution under the skin to treat the fat cells. Next, she uses the ultrasound energy to separate unwanted fat and gently suction it away.
VASERlipo affects only the fat, eliminating the risk of damage to surrounding tissues, blood vessels, and nerves. What Happens After VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction?

Nonetheless, patients can expect to have some initial swelling and bruising. You should expect to take a day or so off your normal routine to rest, then gradually return to more strenuous activities over the next 2 to 3 weeks.
