For years, women have enjoyed the advantages of various skin rejuvenation treatments to restore skin health and look younger. Over time, treatment options – especially laser-based treatments – have expanded to address a much wider variety of skin issues, over the entire body as well as the face. Now, women have a safe and highly effective choice to rejuvenate the most intimate part of their body.

That treatment is diVa laser vaginal therapy.

diVa Is in a Class by Itself

This is the only vaginal rejuvenation treatment that uses Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology. diVa combines two types of laser treatment to simultaneously resurface the vaginal wall and heat multiple tissue layers to stimulate increased collagen production. This dual-action treatment reveals fresh, healthy surface tissue within the vaginal canal right away and, as new skin cells are produced, the tissue becomes denser and more elastic. diVa treatment also works to increase vaginal lubrication.

For women with mild to moderate vaginal laxity, there is no other treatment that offers results this extensive. But diVa can help virtually any woman who has noticed a decline in her vaginal health.

At Eterna Cosmetic Surgery, our patients love this treatment for its impressive improvement of negative vaginal symptoms often associated with menopause. If you are a woman who is going through or has been through menopause, you know these symptoms all too well. If you’re a younger woman who has had children, especially if you breastfed your babies, you may also find yourself dealing with:

  • Vaginal atrophy, which can cause vaginal dryness, burning, itching and/or excess discharge or decreased vaginal lubrication during sexual activity
  • Vaginal laxity (looseness in the vaginal tissues due to over-stretching during childbirth)
  • Loss of sexual sensation or painful sex, due to thinning of the vaginal tissue
  • Urinary stress incontinence – frequent or urgent urination, or leakage when coughing, laughing, etc.

Most often, the problem is loss of estrogen, a hormone that plays a major role in maintaining healthy vaginal tissue, lubrication, and healthy pH levels within the vagina. However, breastfeeding, removal of the ovaries or some types of breast cancer treatment can also cause loss of estrogen, and childbirth can stretch the vaginal canal as well as surrounding tissue.

Long-Lasting Results

Women have access to a variety of treatment options for unwanted vaginal symptoms. Over-the-counter lubricants can make sexual activity more comfortable. Absorbent pads or “discreet” underwear can provide added protection for urinary symptoms. And prescription creams or other medications can replace lost estrogen within the vagina and provide more generalized estrogen therapy.

However, many women don’t want to take estrogen because it can have serious side effects and it is expensive. And, although over-the-counter products can help temporarily, they don’t address the underlying cause of symptoms.

diVa laser therapy is entirely different. It is a minimally-invasive, non-hormonal treatment that stimulates the renewal of vaginal tissues, which in turn can reduce or even eliminate discomfort, pain and other problems, long-term.

Treatment sessions are short (really short – just 3-5 minutes), and there is no downtime required, although we do recommend you refrain from sexual intercourse for 48 hours. We offer diVa laser therapy in a series of three treatments, scheduled about a month apart, so our patients can achieve the best possible results. For healthiest, longest-lasting results, we recommend annual maintenance treatment.

Feel Like Your Younger, Sexier Self Again!

Declining vaginal health is no longer inevitable. Thanks to diVa laser therapy, women can make a conscious decision to turn back the clock with a simple treatment that restores confidence along with more youthful vaginal function and feeling.
